The Pharmacist-Attorney
Pharmacy Background:
Law Background:
Aaron earned his Law Degree (J.D.) from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. For the first ten years of his law career, Aaron was a defense trial attorney, representing healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies in medical malpractice and drug product liability cases. Aaron is now a trial attorney and partner of the law firm Bekman, Marder, Hopper, Malarkey & Perlin, and uses his pharmacy background, along with the knowledge he acquired as a defense trial attorney, to help those individuals and families who have suffered catastrophic injury or death.
One focal point of Aaron’s practice has been on holding pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and pharmacies accountable for their roles in the opioid crisis that has devastated our families and communities. In one such case against Insys Therapeutics, Inc. (the maker of a Fentanyl spray), Aaron’s case was featured nationally in the New York Times, NBC Dateline, ABC Nightline, and before the United States Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee.
